(Punditcy.com) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) wants the government to confiscate more money from the middle class and dole it out to the victims of the Obama Administration’s (and his Senate) failure to adopt policies that would get people back to work and bring us out of this years long economic depression. All in the name of income equality. This administration’s brazen disregard of America’s founding principles has most certainly emboldened the left to just let it all hang out. No disguises anymore in what the end game is.

“There is no greater challenge this country has than income inequality. And we must do something about it,” he went on to say.
The solution that Senate majority leader Reid proposes to resolve his supposed income inequality problem is to tax and borrow more and give money to the unemployed. As I said the end game has been revealed, but the truth about how they get there will be veiled in their “sticking it to the rich” mantra. But as they very well know, the rich don’t pay taxes. Large corporations won’t pay either. So, when Harry Reid and the Democrats talk about redistributing money to the unemployed, he is talking about taxing the middle class and small businesses.
Calvin Coolidge got it right when he said,
“No matter what anyone may say about making the rich and the corporations pay the taxes, in the end they come out of the people who toil. It is your fellow workers who are ordered to work for the Government, every time an appropriation bill is passed. The people pay the expense of government, often many times over, in the increased cost of living. I want taxes to be less, that the people may have more.”
So, let me play devil’s advocate for a second. Lets say you were the federal government and you wanted to create a section of the population that was totally dependent on your handouts for their livelihood. How would you go about doing it? Well, first you would destroy the job creators so that those that could not get a job would require assistance from you? Since they will be dependent on you, the federal government, for their necessities, they are also beholden to you. They must vote for you so that they can keep their free handouts coming. Now that you have this section of the population dependents voting for you in every election, allowing you to remain in power, how are you going to pay for it? Well you tax those that create the jobs. Which means more people needing handouts and more voters. And the cycle continues until you have all the votes and all the power and, all the while, the people believe that you are looking after their best interest for the “Common Good” of the nation.
This is the “Progressive” agenda. ObamaCare was just the first step to their twisted utopia. A place where the elitists in Washington D.C. decide your fate and everyone is equal… equally dependent on them. Next steps Immigration reform (Amnesty) and Income Equality (Redistribution).
As history has proved, this utopian dream of the Progressive Movement does not exist. This Ayn Rand quote is right on,
“America’s abundance was not created by public sacrifices to “the common good”, but by the productive genius of free men who pursued their own personal interests and the making of their own private fortunes.”
Government just needs to get out of the way. I truly believe that America will wake up and before we are slaves to the state, they have to. This is America.
