Senator McCain Falls Prey to Russian Pranksters… and It’s Bad!

Senator McCain openly discusses foreign policy details to Russian pranksters... disturbing.

Sen. John McCain allegedly fell for a crank call by two Russian pranksters and tricked into discussing America’s foreign policy via the phone.

As reported by Sputnik, notorious pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stolyarov — know as Vovan and Lexus — made hoax phone calls to three U.S. political figures: Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Mitch McConnell.

The details of the Graham and McConnell calls were not released, but a recording of the call with McCain has been published to YouTube.

Stolyarov, who pretended to be Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, warned McCain that Russian President Vladimir Putin was preparing a series compromising information leaks pertaining to McCain collaborating with Russian secret services as a result of being turned during his time spent in North Vietnamese prison camp and that Putin was planning to publish that information very soon in Russia Today.

“I thank you, Mr. Prime Minister — I will look forward to them revealing how I was brainwashed by our North Vietnamese friends,” McCain replied somewhat in jest but then went on to say, “Maybe you could ask your ambassador to tell me more about that.”

Clueless.

Here is the YouTube video of the call:

Assuming that the recording is legitimate — it very much sounds like him, it is very disturbing to know that Senator McCain would openly discuss foreign policy details and have no clue who he is talking to.

Maybe it’s time for the Senator to step down.
